Range of contemporary design railings
The Falcade Collection with its qualities of elegance, sturdiness and strength is suitable for a wide range of applications. The immediate sense of security of the board design is accompanied by a contemporary aesthetic.
Given the absence of sharp edges, Falcade railings are particularly suitable for delimiting bridges, walkways, overpasses, cycleways and for protecting against the risk of falling from heights.
All models are made without welding, so the modular design allows for slight bends and changes in gradient without the need for further machining or the modification of any elements.
Tested and certified solutions
Falcade railings comply with the provisions of the Technical Standards for Construction (NTC) 2018 and, if the project requires it, they are accompanied by a technical report with structural verification. In addition, the Falcade HO3 model has been tested and certified in accordance with UNI CEN/TR 1317-6 (Pedestrian restraint system – Pedestrian railings).
The HQ1 and HU models are made with tubular rectangular-section vertical elements.

What is UNI CEN/TR 1317-6 certification?
The Falcade HO3 parapet is certified according to UNI CEN/TR 1317-6:
This is a technical report specifying technical and geometric requirements for the design and manufacture of pedestrian railings on road bridges, footbridges, the top of retaining walls and similar elevated structures.
Safety considerations related to pedestrians using road bridges, footbridges and similar elevated structures require the installation of special road restraint systems referred to as pedestrian restraint systems or pedestrian railings.
This technical report does not apply to pedestrian restraint systems in buildings for residential, commercial or industrial use or anywhere within their perimeter.
The type with plate attached to the base by dowels was tested.
UNI CEN/TR 1317-6 certification is an added value, ensuring greater safety for all cycleway and pedestrian walkway users

The advantages of Corten® steel
Strength and durability
Corten® possesses high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance properties. It is a material that ‘self-protects’ by forming a surface patina that prevents corrosion from spreading and ensures ‘eternal’ durability.
Lower overall costs
Due to its greater mechanical strength, reduced thicknesses can be used, resulting in weight reduction. Corten® also reduces maintenance costs compared to wooden solutions.
Timeless beauty
The oxidative patina gives Corten® a warm and elegant brownish hue, allowing it to harmoniously blend into its surroundings, both in natural settings and in many architectural scenarios.
Environmental Sustainability
Corten® steel can be 100% recycled without losing any of its properties. It makes galvanizing and painting unnecessary, a fact that has a significant environmental impact.

Falcade HO3 Corten® railing for the renovation of a section of roadway in San Godenzo (FI): interview with City Councillor Lucia Baroncelli
Alongside the safety and extraordinary maintenance works of the road system in Via Aldo Moro in San Godenzo (FI), the Falcade HO3 Corten® steel railing model was chosen for its strength and its ability to fit into the environmental context of this charming medieval village.
“The work carried out in Spring concerned the renovation and securing of the road system on Via Aldo Moro. In particular, the existing sidewalk running from the elementary school to the block of houses was redone and widened […] Among the works performed was the installation of the Falcade Ho3 Corten® steel railing along the entire length of the sidewalk”.
COR-TEN+Led: LED illuminated fences and railings
COR-TEN lights up with LEDs thanks to the new ‘green’ lighting system that can be integrated into all our models. Innovation that confirms our ability to provide industrial and yet customized products, as highlighted in the article in “leStrade” magazine.
The second project concerns a naturalistic context: a section of cycleway alongside a river in Lagundo, in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. The chosen product, in this specific case, is the Falcade railing. The goal: to make cycling in the river area completely safe.
From railroads to steel cycleways – “leStrade” magazine
The editorial highlights the use of our Falcade HO3 railings for the section of the new Ciclovia del Sole cycleway being built in the metropolitan area of Bologna along the route of the old railroad bed. In addition to the superstructure, historic bridges have also been upgraded, with focus on the environment, on durability and on safety.
Cortensafe railings were chosen for an intervention of great technical and cultural value: the intervention goes by the name of “Revamping and redevelopment of the Bologna-Verona railway line”, a territorial regeneration project piloted by the Metropolitan City of Bologna and part of the larger Ciclovia del Sole project: four regions to be crossed, a key element of the new ‘green Europe’.
Capoliveri on the Island of Elba adopts Corten® steel railings
Falcade HO3 railings, made entirely of Corten® steel, were used in the redevelopment of several streets in the historic center of Capoliveri. Here are the impressions of the head of the Municipality’s Public Works Department.
The small town of Capoliveri is one of the most charming villages on the Island of Elba. It features a peculiar architecture that still preserves its medieval appearance with its narrow and picturesque arched alleys called ‘chiassi’. CortenSafe’s Corten® steel railings fit in perfectly with this setting, as the land surveyor in charge of the Public Works Department tells us.
