The fence is a safety element for the user and is more cost-effective. The railing is a protection with specific resistance and protection requirements that meets certain legal regulations. The Falcade, Cles and Bormio collections include railings.
For fences and railings there are three types of ground fixing applications and five types for curb fixing, one of which can be customised for special requirements.
For railings, fixing on curb by means of a plate is almost obligatory, while for fences, fixing with UNP and pile driver is preferred. The latter should only be avoided for small jobs.
A Cortensafe fence lasts forever when the installation instructions we have perfected for this material are followed. It is important to prevent permanent moisture and standing water.
What you see is not rust but a protective oxidated coating composed of copper and phosphorus that is formed by photocatalysis.

A railing must comply with the provisions of the Italian Technical Standards for Construction (NTC) 2018; as it relates to road contexts, Cortensafe refers to chapter 5.1.3.10 of the standard, where it states: “The height of railings may not be less than 1.10 m. Railing must be calculated on the basis of a horizontal force of 1.5 kN/m applied to the handrail”.
