Cortensafe lighting systems: perfect solutions in terms of elegance, safety and energy saving

We have studied the possibility of incorporating Corten® steel posts equipped with LED light sources into fences and railings so as to optimize the illumination of cycleways, parks and pedestrian walkways, increasing their aesthetic value and safety level.

LED technology offers levels of performance and functionality not achievable with other light sources, plus there is the advantage of operating at low voltage, eliminating the risk of electric shock for both operators and users.

Functionality and security

The LEDs are connected by low-voltage cables, resistant to both high and low temperatures, which run inside the tubular elements, thus ensuring adequate durability of the system without resorting to burying.

The lighting systems are fully integrated into the fences and railings through careful design to avoid external criticalities such as vandalism, accidental impact by users, etc.

What is LED lighting and what benefits does it offer?

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, a device that takes advantage of the properties of certain semiconductor materials to convert electrical energy passing through them into light, with minimal heat dissipation and infrared- and ultraviolet-free light.

LED outdoor lighting systems can illuminate cycleways or pedestrian walkways with significant energy savings, no light pollution and low maintenance.

In fact, LED lighting can save up to 90 percent in electricity compared to traditional systems;

Duration

This is a highly efficient system with an average life of 50 thousand hours, which is 50 times longer than an incandescent light bulb;

Low Energy Level

It requires a low level of energy, a factor that reduces both consumption and emission levels. These are systems that also work perfectly well with renewable energy sources such as the sun or wind;

Does not produce Heat + does not attract insects

Because it emits wavelengths outside the infrared or ultraviolet ranges, so insects remain indifferent;

Time to full brightness is immediate

Turn-on time is zero even in extreme conditions, with temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius.
