The Badia fence, consisting of one or more horizontal boards, can be made of Corten® steel or of Corten® steel + wood. The collection is inspired by a system popular in the Trentino-South Tyrol region of Italy, offering a contemporary design suitable for delimiting cycleways, gardens, parks, parking lots and animal enclosures.
Characteristics of the system
The version with wooden boards is made with a square-section post, while the boards are fixed externally (cycleway side) and are partially embedded into the post thanks to a special inset machined on the tube. The solution lends itself well to situations where wood cannot be totally replaced by other materials, while the steel post increases the durability and safety of the product. Compared to other collections, it has the advantage of having no protruding parts on its top: the post does not protrude from the handrail.

Strength and durability
Corten® possesses high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance properties. It is a material that ‘self-protects’ by forming a surface patina that prevents corrosion from spreading and ensures ‘eternal’ durability.

Due to its greater mechanical strength, reduced thicknesses can be used, resulting in weight reduction. Corten® also reduces maintenance costs compared to wooden solutions.
