Bollard and Barrier Collection
Security elements that can fit into any context
The Bollard and Barrier Collection is designed to offer useful elements for delimiting all kinds of areas, for controlling flows and volumes of people, and for protecting public and private areas, such as parking lots, parks, pedestrian crossings, promenades and cycleways. The modular system makes allows to create as many sectors, paths, crossings or lanes as a project needs.
The structure is made of Corten® steel to ensure maximum durability and resistance to weathering. Each model is designed both to offer maximum visibility and to blend harmoniously into any urban or rural environment, also thanks to the wide range of customization options.
Barriers
Barriers are elements of street furniture that fall under the category of traffic signs, which is anything that can be installed along public roads to highlight a potentially dangerous situation. Hooped pedestrian safety barriers also fall into this category.
Our Corten® steel barriers are ideal solutions for demarcating restricted access areas or vulnerable areas such as bike and pedestrian zones, schoolyards, public areas, etc., echoing the aesthetics of some of our fence or railing designs. Their great versatility and functionality make them perfect for easy deployment or quick removal when needed.
Hooped pedestrian safety barriers
Among the most effective barriers for protecting the safety of road users, both in public and private settings, are hooped barriers.
These are devices regulated by Art. 42 of the Italian Highway Code and Art. 180 of its implementing regulations, which specifies that these devices, designed to prevent the parking and transit of vehicles in specified areas or zones, must harmonize with street furniture and also perform ancillary functions such as delimiting pedestrian zones, reserved parking areas, green zones, flower beds and spaces reserved for other uses.
They must also be visible and must not, with their shape or other characteristics, create danger to pedestrians and to children in particular.
Thanks to the fixing systems we have designed for our fence and railing systems, hooped pedestrian barriers can be easily removed and repositioned when needed, such as to facilitate the temporary entry or exit of vehicles.
Bollards
Safety pickets fall into the broader category of bollards, elements of street furniture designed to ensure road safety and pedestrian protection. Their main function is to distinguish areas designated for cars from pedestrian or bicycle/pedestrian areas. They too are regulated by Article 42 of the Italian Highway Code.
Our safety pickets, made of Corten® steel tubing, are particularly strong and durable and require no maintenance. They are suitable for both large urban centers and for small municipalities. If needed, they can be easily removed and positioned.

The advantages of Corten® steel
Strength and durability
Corten® possesses high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance properties. It is a material that ‘self-protects’ by forming a surface patina that prevents corrosion from spreading and ensures ‘eternal’ durability.
Lower overall costs
Due to its greater mechanical strength, reduced thicknesses can be used, resulting in weight reduction. Corten® also reduces maintenance costs compared to wooden solutions.
Timeless beauty
The oxidative patina gives Corten® a warm and elegant brownish hue, allowing it to harmoniously blend into its surroundings, both in natural settings and in many architectural scenarios.

The Brunico H3C Corten® steel fence was chosen to replace the worn-out wooden fence and enhance the landscaped setting. Our solution was used for the two sides of the cycleway and for all ramped and stair accesses.
In addition to the Brunico, removable Cortensafe elements were also used as bollards at the entrance to the cycleway.
Railings, fences and Cortensafe cycle/pedestrian walkway for the Agno-Guà cycleway in the municipality of Valdagno (Vicenza)
For the bike path that connects the center of Valdagno with the hamlet of Novale, CortenSafe demonstrated remarkable versatility by fabricating the fences, railings, and cycle/pedestrian walkway. Reached by email, the City Councillor for Public Works expressed his satisfaction with the benefits provided by Corten® and the end result.
“The project comprised the installation of about 1,700 meters of the Brunico H2C Wood fence with steel supports and two rails made of debarked chestnut wood, of about 460 meters of the Falcade HO3 model railing made entirely of Corten® steel with vertical elements inserted into horizontal rails, which in turn were inserted into the posts. A steel cycle/pedestrian walkway over the Agno stream and bollards, also in Corten® steel, were also installed”
