Passion and innovation with one single goal: safety
It all started with the question: how can one keep cyclists and pedestrians safe while avoiding the fast deterioration of wooden fences and railings? Hence the idea of using Corten steel.
Corten was a well-known material and already in use in the construction world but in the beginning, it was not available in those tube-like shapes that are useful for making fences, railings and enclosures.
Cortensafe was founded on this intuition by Manuel Cracco, the owner, together with his brothers Federico and Davide, of Cracco Srl, a company active in the metal carpentry sector since 1988.

In just a few years we become a point of reference
Within a few years, the Cortensafe brand becomes a pioneer and Italian benchmark in the design and production of Corten® protection systems: railings and fences are joined by a wide range of accessories (gates, bollards, barriers, etc.).
An affirmation based on the constant commitment to provide targeted answers to every specific need, offering a ‘customisable standard’, like a tailor-made suit.

Road barriers
Corten® steel road barriers, which maintain the ‘family feeling’ with other Cortensafe products, are presented to the market: they have smooth finishes and are aesthetically pleasing and maintenance-free.
Our solutions offer three features that no other barrier currently offers together: they act both as road barriers for motor vehicles and as pedestrian restraint systems, and they also protect cyclists and pedestrians travelling on the opposite side.
Now the offer is complete: fences, railings, road barriers and accessories.

In 2023 we roll out a new image and a new pay-off: ‘orange is the way’. More and more people, in fact, as they follow the cycle path or the road in front of them, are accompanied by an ‘orange wave’ that protects them: this is the unmistakable colour of our Corten® steel solutions.
The ‘orange is the way’ philosophy is embodied in original ideas that aim both to improve the safety of cycleways, roads, pedestrian walkways, public parks, and to enhance the urban and suburban landscape. It represents a renewed commitment to realising the projects of public administrations, companies and planners in the simplest, quickest and most beautiful way possible.
